“Julia” is one of our newest little stray rescues picked up in the streets, and sadly she has been diagnosed as heartworm positive. Would you be willing to foster little Julia during her heartworm treatment that usually lasts about 2 months? She needs a local (Lake Charles area) foster parent since she will need to be near our veterinarian during treatment. During treatment the dog has to stay calm and cool and does best in a home environment instead of in the kennel area that can be kinda loud at times. Please open your heart and your lap to this sweet girl while she gets healthy. She is crate-trained and would love leisurely leash walks.
